About RichardÂ
Richard is a dual-qualified construction expert, combining deep trade knowledge with a degree in Construction Management & Surveying. With over 15 years of international experience, he bridges the gap between hands-on execution and professional project delivery.
Since founding Bondi Projects, Richard has focused on providing clients with a reliable, technically-sound partner for complex refurbishments and high-end fit-outs. His approach is commercially driven and focused on quality, ensuring that every site is managed with precision, safety, and a clear path to successful handover.
Richard’s Background
Richard’s career began in the trades as a qualified carpenter, providing him with an essential understanding of quality, sequence, and technical assembly. This hands-on foundation is visible in every project Bondi delivers, ensuring that from first fix to final finish, the practicalities of the build are always respected.
Progressing naturally into site and project management, Richard spent over a decade leading construction and refurbishment schemes in high-pressure commercial, residential, and education sectors. His transition from the tools to management was supported by a degree in Construction Management & Surveying, bridging the gap between trade expertise and professional project delivery.
Across his career, Richard has held full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, including the coordination of large subcontractor teams, the development and monitoring of tight construction programmes, and strict adherence to H&S, quality control, and successful handover. His experience ensures projects are not just completed, but delivered with the precision and professionalism clients expect.
Commercial and International Experience
With a career spanning the UK, Australia, and the USA, Richard has managed project delivery across diverse regulatory environments and commercial landscapes. This international exposure has fostered a versatile approach to problem-solving and an acute understanding of international quality standards.
His work has often involved navigating the commercial pressures of live environments, where minimizing operational disruption is as critical as the final build quality. This experience allows Bondi to operate confidently across complex refurbishment and fit-out sectors, from central London offices to hospitality venues in Sydney and residential developments in New York.
